Care Instructions for your shoes

The Fold is committed to designing pieces that will stand the test of time, retaining a sense of style, luxury and joy with every wear. We choose only the finest materials and consider every detail of the design-to-delivery process.
We want you to enjoy these shoes for as long as possible, so we have created this care guide to help you give them a long life and retain their charm – every step of the way.

Extending the life of your shoes

We recommend using a shoehorn when putting on your shoes as this helps to avoid damage to the heel area.
We endeavour to make our shoes as comfortable as possible from the first wear, but some designs and materials may need ‘breaking in’.
Regular maintenance is important: do not leave shoes too long between repairs and always use a recommended quality shoe repairer.

Embossed Leather

Before wearing, treat your shoes with a leather protector. Please note that this product can slightly change the shade of the leather, so we recommend you test a small area in an inconspicuous place before treating the entire shoe.

To clean your shoes, use a damp lint-free cloth, wipe gently in the direction of the scales and do not rub. Brush gently with a goat-hair brush without lifting the scales.

To care for your shoes, avoid excessive rain, humidity, direct sunlight and abrasive surfaces as these can cause permanent wear to your shoes.

Store your shoes in the cloth bag provided at the time of purchase in a cool and dry place.

Using wooden shoe trees or stuffing the shoes with tissue paper will help them retain their shape.

Slight imperfections in the leather we use are entirely normal as it is a natural material.
