For our spring/summer 15 photo shoot, we went on location, taking our favourite street style muses as hair and make-up inspiration. Make-up artist Laura Tucker created a fresh, yet natural beauty look on our model Claudia that can be easily achieved for any city business woman. Recreate the ‘city girl chic’ beauty look at home with Laura’s step-by-step guide:

– Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish is perfect for all skin types. The Muslin cloth to exfoliates away dead skin cells, adding a natural glow.

-Apply a small amount of Jurlique Balancing Face oil instead of your normal moisturiser to create a healthy glow.

– Creme De La Mer Illuminating Eye Gel can be applied to brighten dark circles and pigmentation. Try mixing it with a concealer for extra radiance.

– Nourish and prep lips with Jurlique Rose Love Balm.

Make up:

– Apply Tom Ford Traceless Perfection SPF15 foundation to areas that need extra coverage.

– Next, apply Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer applied to areas requiring extra coverage.

– Tom Ford Sculpt and Illuminate palette can be used to contour and accentuate cheekbones. Apply the darker shade underneath cheekbones using an angled brush (I use MAC 168). The light tone can applied cheekbones, the centre of the nose and brow bones to highlight.

– A pop of blush will instantly add radiance. Cream blushers are more dewy than powders, I used the Liz Earle Healthy Glow Cream Blush in Nude.

– Jurlique Rose Silk Finishing Powder has a silky smooth finish with a refreshing rose scent. Apply sparingly – I like to keep skin looking dewy as it’s more youthful.

– Bobbi Brown Longwear Cream eyeshadows are fab as a base or worn alone – I used Sandy Gold on my model before sweeping over Mac Cosmetics Eyeshadows in Pink Venus and Hush.

– Underline the lower lash line using a soft taupe shade, I used The Charlotte Tilbury Sophisticate palette.

– Define the eyeline using Bobbi Brown Longwear gel eyeliner. I used Caviar Ink, a very deep brown/black shade.

– Lashes are a must – coat in mascara that both volumising and separates. My all-time favourite is Max Factor False Lash Effect!

– Don’t forget brows – they frame your eyes! Dust a small amount of matte eyeshadow through to define.

– Blot excess balm and apply a subtle liner over lips. I used Mac Dervish Lip Pencil.

– Finish with either a creamy neutral pink lipstick of your choice or a slick if gloss. I used MAC Cosmo Lipstick with more Jurlique Rose Balm on top.

To recreate this natural yet groomed style, apply Bumble and Bumble Thickening hairspray to wet/damp hair, concentrating on the roots and a small amount of Percy and Reed Wonder balm mid-lengths to ends. Use a medium sized round brush to create soft movement in hair whilst blow drying. Wrap small sections round the brush and concentrate the heat over the brush. Hold for a few seconds then unwind the brush, keeping the curl as you release it. Once finished, control frizz and unruly ends using Bumble and Bumble Semisumo and Paul Mitchell Stay Strong hairspray. The style should drop out and look relaxed.
