Assistant Buyer/ Production Assistant - Full Time

About the role:

You will be supporting both the buying and production departments working closely with the Production Manager, Buyer and Junior Buyer. This role will touch upon many aspects of a fast-paced fashion brand and provide fundamental experience necessary for someone looking to further their career in the industry

Your responsibilities:

  • Upload and maintain all information in our product software system, Netsuite.
  • Manage the end-to-end process of order placement to ex fty date before handing over to Merchandising and Logistics.
  • Coordinate sample management to ensure all samples are available for internal meetings and all information is recorded accurately in the relevant tools e.g. range plan.
  • In collaboration with Merchandising and the Buyer ensure the range plan is kept up to date with all relevant information in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage the maintenance of the critical path, hold weekly communication meetings internally and with suppliers to ensure all samples, testing and garment production is on track. Ensure dates are met to achieve agreed launch dates.
  • Assist the production manager in ordering CMT fabric.
  • Manage the ordering of CMT trims.
  • Preparation of proto sample production packages with regards to fabrics and trims sampling.
  • Manages the product approval process to ensure lab dips, bulk submits and trims for product meet critical path dates.
  • Point of contact for suppliers, agents, mills and factories.
  • Assist in price negotiations with suppliers to ensure seasonal target margins are met.
  • Coordinate sample management for all internal and external shoots ensuring accurate information is passed on to the marketing team.
  • Support Buying Team where necessary in fit meetings to ensure the best fit for the customer and manage any changes in price or design that needs to be communicated to the wider team.
  • Record and manage changes made at the buy meetings, ensuring relevant action is taken and the wider team is kept informed.
  • Assist the buyer in annotating images and copy for The Book and Online.
  • Proactive approach to reviewing weekly sales performance, ensuring appropriate action is taken swiftly. Contribute to seasonal sales performance and lessons learnt.
  • Manage the competitor research for the department, issuing a monthly report of your findings.

About you:

  • Minimum of 18 months experience as either a BAA or production coordinator.
  • The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic and proactive, with a hard-working, conscientious attitude.
  • A team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills are required.
  • Able to think on their feet and take on responsibility.
  • Time management skills, ability to meet deadlines in a very busy and demanding role.

Wovens Buyer - Full Time

About the role:

Lead the Woven department from a buying perspective, across all categories. Work closely with the Product Director in all aspects of the buying function.

Your responsibilities:

Strategy, Assortment Building and Trade

  • In collaboration with the Product Director, Design and Merchandising teams, devise seasonal strategy to deliver growth in line with or above the company objectives.
  • Responsible for building an assortment that meets/over perform on all our KPIs and is in keeping with the brand DNA. Work effectively with Design and Merchandising to ensure range sign off.
  • Lead competitor research for the department ensuring the business is kept up to date with our product positioning within the market, highlighting opportunities and threats.
  • Responsible for achieving seasonal target margins.
  • Responsible for all internal buy meetings, owning diary management, agendas, samples and preparation of all reporting tools.
  • Ensure the range plan is kept up to date with all relevant information in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage weekly trade ensuring any opportunities are quickly ceased upon and minimizing risk where necessary. Alongside merchandising, lead all seasonal sales reviews and lessons learnt.

Product Development and Production

  • Liaise with Product Director, Head of Tech, Head of Design and suppliers to create and agree the seasonal critical path.
  • Own the critical path for the department, ensuring all dates are met to achieve agreed launch dates.
  • Work closely with the Design team throughout the product development process, offering commercial and strategic insight.
  • Work with Design and our Fabric Consultant on fabric and trims sourcing and development.
  • Travel to factories/fairs for sourcing and development where appropriate.
  • Manage all fully-factored production and work collaboratively with the Production Manager who is responsible for CMT.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the product development system NetSuite.
  • Manage the end-to-end process from order placement to ex fty date, before handing it over to Merchandising and Logistics.
  • Manage the product approval process to ensure lab dips, bulk submits and trims for product meet critical path dates.
  • Support in the smooth handing over of technical sketches from Design to Technical.
  • Fit the collection with the Design and Technical departments, organise regular fit reviews of production, review returns rates looking for strategic opportunities to improve net sales.
  • Build strong relationships with the members of our value chain, acting as the main point of contact for suppliers, agents, mills and factories.
  • Work in collaboration with the Head of Garment Tech, Production Manager and Product Director on our sourcing strategy ensuring all our activities support The Fold’s CSR objectives. Review supplier performance on a seasonal basis, recording strengths and development areas and following up on improvements.

Marketing

  • The key point of contact across the business for assortment and product details. Be an authority on the range down to the finest detail.
  • Assist the Product Director and Head of Design in presenting the assortment to the Marketing team & contribute to the creation of the marketing calendar.
  • Manage the handing over of the collection to the marketing department at the photoshoot stage.
  • Support Design and Technical in
  • the annotating images and copy for the book and online.

Leadership

  • Manage a high performing team.
  • Offer mentorship and coaching to your Assistant Buyer. Oversee their PDPs alongside the Product Director.

About you:

  • Excellent analytical skills and highly numerate.

Accounts Payable Clerk

About the role:

Full-time position reporting to the Head of Financial Control taking full ownership of the Accounts Payable function.

Your responsibilities:

  • Posting of invoices to Netsuite ensuring that they are matched to PO ( rate & quantity), they are coded correctly (GL account, department & market) and the appropriate authorisations are obtained.
  • Completing and advising on the weekly payment run.
  • Setting up multi-currency payments and sending remittances to suppliers
  • Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers including query resolution and communication of payments
  • Maintaining strong relationships with budget holders within the business to ensure accuracy of AP postings
  • Updating and maintaining the cashflow/payment run file on a daily basis
  • Ownership of AP stock processes including GRNI reconciliation; working closely with the Production & Merchandising teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of stock movements and postings
  • Managing the Accounts email inbox
  • Reconciliation of Aged Creditors report to the trial balance
  • Monthly supplier statement reconciliations
  • Reconciliation of GRNI and other stock balance sheet accounts

Your Skillset:

  • Significant previous experience in Accounts Payable within an SME retail/eCommerce business
  • Experience with stock is preferable, including an understanding of GRNI accounts
  • Solid financial systems experience; Netsuite preferable
  • Strong Excel skills (pivots, lookups etc.)
  • Good understanding of basic accounting principles

About the role:

We are seeking a full time Campaign Marketing Manager to join the team.  You will be responsible for delivering projects and marketing activations in partnership with our performance marketing team, and brand creative department. We are seeking a brilliant communicator who is collaborative, highly motivated and extremely organised. We’re looking for someone who’ll relish taking ownership of and executing the marketing calendar. You’ll have a digital-first mindset, think globally and be strategic and forward-thinking in your planning.

You will report into the Head of Brand and work closely with the Senior Art Director and Head of Performance Marketing to execute and bring together the campaign content and trade objectives.

Your responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for planning and delivering the yearly content calendar – executing this with a commercial and informed marketing mindset. This calendar covers own, paid channels, PR, retail and a monthly direct mail catalogue.
  • You will communicate the content calendar, deadlines, and deliverables to the wider teams and will be adept at navigating any last-minute changes into the calendar and will think on your feet.
  • You’ll manage all campaign planning from initial ideation/ setting direction and objectives, to brief writing, cross-channel delivery and finally post-campaign analysis and reporting.
  • You will liaise directly with the merchandise, product, design, creative and web teams to understand the product and delivery deadlines for all marketing channels.
  • You will be responsible for the content flow from origination (with our Head of Brand) through to the delivery via our channels (eg. website, catalogue, email, social platforms, in store POS, concession POS.)
  • You will be responsible for briefing our in-house copywriter to write engaging, concise content across channels; including website (homepage, landing pages, edits, content pages and banners), broadcast emails, social, catalogue and concession POS – always thinking about the needs and mindset of the customer. You will evolve and develop this, keeping on top of changes in mood/ mindset.
  • You will have direct ownership of the email channel, broadcast email and content of automation emails. This will be run in partnership with Performance Marketing (and eventually CRM) to meet trade objectives. You will work closely with the in-house copywriter and a designated designer for email.
  • You will proof-read and consider the objectives of written copy and imagery, ensuring assets meet the campaign and trade objectives.
  • You will oversee the brand’s tone of voice across channels, manage the copy-writer, and help to define the strategy behind it.
  • You will oversee the briefing of content and copy for the website. You will ensure any channel marketing content is in sync with the website – always considering customer journey and conversion.
  • Working with the Head of Brand, you will support with events and partnerships. You will also work closely with brand ambassadors and brand partners, building relationships and seeking out new on-brand contributors.
  • You will oversee the storytelling around the brand’s monthly catalogues and ensure that the catalogue content seamlessly links back to the brand’s website and own channel marketing.
  • Ensure that when a key marketing activity is delivered (eg. a catalogue landing day), that the customer journey is ready online including landing pages and shoppable edits.
  • You will oversee the brand’s social channels, manage the marketing assistant to update them, and help define the brand’s social presence
  • You will be the champion for all things brand-related – you will always strive to uphold the brand values.
  • You will report against specific KPIs related to the channels that you are directly managing e.g. email, social platforms (organic engagement) and Linkedin.
  • You will manage and keep on top of your own budget.
  • You’ll manage the Junior Copywriter and a Marketing Assistant.
  • You will be their line manager, helping them develop and grow within their own roles.

About you:

  • Will be a committed energetic, motivated contributor to The Fold, going above and beyond the role with a proactive attitude to work as part of The Fold team
  • We’re a small friendly team and you’ll be working with all levels of the business, so you’ll be collaborative, confident and a good communicator
  • You’re creative and will have an understanding or keen interest in content and branding, especially within fashion/retail sector

  • The role will be varied and fast-paced, so you’ll be organised and calm under pressure. Ideally, we’d like to see evidence of project management skills.
  • You’ll need to use your initiative every day, be comfortable being hands-on, and always be one step ahead
  • You’ll ideally already manage a marketing or content calendar and be used to updating people when things change
  • A clear understanding of social media and how to translate a strong campaign across these channels
  • You might be from a retail marketing background or an advertising or brand agency (but this needs to be your second job, not a first position)
  • We’re a global brand so experience/ knowledge of the US and European retail market would be beneficial
  • You’ll have fantastic attention to detail, alongside with a creative outlook (we’d like to see evidence of your previous creative outputs)
