The Fold Woman this week is Geraldine Huitric, Sales & Marketing Director at Captive Minds.
Hometown, and place you are now living?
I come from a very small “town” (I’m not even sure it qualifies as a town) near Quimper in Brittany, France. I now leave in East London near Victoria Park – a bit of a change!
I worked for a few years in France in the travel industry and then for the French Government in Jersey. I then decided to cross the Channel properly and spend “some time in London”. It’s now been six years – working at London Pass, Shakespeare’s Globe theatre as Sales Manager and now at Captive Minds, an Event Marketing Agency, as the Sales & Marketing Director.
Tell us about some exciting upcoming events that your agency is co-ordinating?
Captive Minds activates, manages and sells events for brands and event owners. We work with numerous clients such as Walking With The Wounded, Tower Hamlets, Concours d’Elegance and MINT Polo In The Park. The latter is actually taking place next week from 8th until 10th June and is promising to be a sell-out very shortly, especially for our Ladies Day on Saturday! It’s a fun, glamorous and lifestyle event in Fulham – a great celebration of polo and the summer season.
How would you describe your style in the office?
I am quite a colorful person so I love mixing complimentary colors and matching fabrics. We don’t have a strict attire policy so I easily wear long or knee-length dresses, trousers or jeans – depending on my schedule. If I have important meetings or evening functions, I like to feel comfortable and wear my favourite dress or shirt.
Which is your favourite Fold Dress from the latest collection?
The Bond Street Dress Navy Leather is amazing – I love the leather bands. Despite the fact that it is an excellent business wear for women it is also a great evening dress.
And the Madison Dress Navy looks great too for a full day at work plus a more than easy evening function!
The Bond Street Dress Navy Leather is an excellent business dress for women!
What are you most looking forward to about this summer?
The Olympics – sounds a bit obvious – but I have tickets for the Handball (the French are quite good at it so hopefully I can support them). I also have tickets to watch the opening ceremony at Victoria Park on their big screen. The concert line-up is quite good too!
